How To Order Official Transcripts

San Jacinto College has partnered with Parchment, a digital credential service, to offer more convenient ways for sending your transcript. Choose from three easy methods:

  • Email (secure PDF)
  • Directly to another college/university (secure PDF)
  • U.S. mail

There will be a $5-7 fee to obtain your transcript through Parchment, but it will ensure faster delivery, including weekends and holidays. Additional fees may apply. Please note there may be a delay if you have any holds on your account that prevent the release of transcripts. Transcripts will not be sent until holds are cleared.

Many professional application services (such as LSAC, AMCAS, SOPHAS, NursingCAS, etc.) now accept PDF transcripts from Parchment. You will simply need to add your application ID number instead of attaching a form.

Transcripts sent by San Jacinto College

Transcripts can still be ordered free of charge, but there may be a delay in delivery especially during holidays and weekends. San Jac only sends free transcripts through U.S. mail to the destination of your choice or EDI/Speede to participating colleges/universities. San Jac does not email or fax transcripts.  Transcripts will not be sent if you have holds on your record.

Log into SOS to order your free transcript.

If you don’t know your SOS login information, you will need to use the paper transcript request form. Please be sure to read the instructions on the form. You will need to include your picture identification with the request. Transcripts will not be sent if you have holds on your record.

Campus Pick-up

The preferred method for requesting official transcripts from San Jacinto College is through the student's SOS account or the Parchment digital credential service.

In the event an official transcript is needed urgently, students can visit the Admissions Office to make the request and obtain a sealed copy. This method is reserved for extenuating circumstances.
