Policy VI-BB: Policy Governing Intercollegiate Athletics

The Chancellor is responsible for the over-all administrative organization of the San Jacinto College District and for exercising appropriate administrative and fiscal control over the college's intercollegiate athletics program.

The intercollegiate athletic program is established as a part of the total education program of the College. The College adheres to regulations established by the National Junior College Athletic Association, Region XIV Athletic Conference, rules of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the policies of the College Board of Regents as they relate to the conduct of student-athletes and the administration and financial control of the athletic program. Student-athletes must comply with all policies relating to admission, financial aid, academic standards, and program completion.
