Maritime Simulation

Kongsberg Polaris full-mission bridge simulator1At San Jacinto College Maritime, we operate 3 Kongsberg Polaris full-mission bridge simulators with an interconnected Kongsberg Neptune Engine Room Simulation suite.  We also operate a Transas NTPRO simulation suite with 24 student stations, a Transas TechSim lab, and a Vortex full-motion crane simulator.

Our 3 Kongsberg Polaris full-mission bridge simulators feature 65 hydro-dynamically accurate vessels that can be operated in 10 regions across the globe.  With a selection of vessels including patrol boats, tug boats, push boats, supply vessels, tankers, containers ships, cruise ships and more, we can mold our bridges to fit most all needs.  Kongsberg’s state-of-art software allows for all three bridges to be run in the same exercise, or separately, depending on your needs.

Our Kongsberg Neptune Engine Room Simulation suite is comprised of an engine room, instructor room, emergency generator, and High Voltage switchboard and interface.  Our 3 engine plant models are capable of training engineers in the operation of ships machinery, auxiliary equipment, identifying faults and their impact on the plants total efficiency, and study of overall fuel economy.

San Jacinto College Maritime state-of-the-art simulation suites provides the ability to sign off on assessments for OICEW STCW endorsements and assessments for OICNW management-level STCW endorsement.
