For those who qualify, the Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) program provides financial aid, in the form of grants, for a select list of approved Continuing and Professional Development (CPD) training programs.

Select CPD training programs are eligible to receive TPEG funding.

A sample of training options are shown below.  Not all programs are available each semester.  Campus locations vary.

Basic Eligibility

  • Demonstrated Financial Need
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Not be in default of student loan or have prior balance due to college

 Please note that individual training programs may require specific prerequisites such as: background check, drug screen, High School diploma/GED, etc.

 

Scholarships

For those who qualify, TPEG will provide financial assistance in the form of need-based scholarships. A limited number of scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis during the fall and spring semesters only.

 

For most programs, the grant covers the entire cost of tuition (course cost). Students may be responsible for purchasing books and/or supplies.

 

Available during Fall and Spring Semesters

Those who qualify are eligible to receive two grants per academic year.  One in the fall semester and a second grant in the spring.

You will need to complete the forms below and gather the required documentation:

  1. Download and print the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) 2021 - 2022 Application
  2. Copy of your signed 2019 IRS Tax Return.
    Non-filers must obtain an IRS Verification of Non-filing Letter.
  3. Copies of your 2019 W2s
  4. Low income Worksheet.
    If applicable, attach copies of award letter(s) for any public assistance received (SNAP, unemployment, disability, social security, etc.)

Request a 2019 Tax Return Transcript and 2019 Wage & Income Transcript (W2s), or Verification of Non-filing Letter. Free. No cost.
