KidSpot Summer Camp presents an ideal opportunity for children to experience the range of activities possible at a theatre. This summer camp is formatted into a one-week, fun-filled camp that meets from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. (Early drop off and late pick up is available for an additional fee.) Two sessions are available to a maximum of 75 campers, ages five and older. Campers will develop acting skills while participating in workshops, which may include movement, voice, theatre games, improvisations, stage acting, film acting, character development, and production. The camp is lead by theatre representatives and students. Daily rehearsals will culminate in a stage production at the end of the week for campers to show-off their new talents. Campers are asked to provide their own lunch and snacks. 

This year's production will be Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. 

Camp Schedule:
Session 1 | June 6-10, 2022
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Early pickup at 3 p.m. on Friday to prepare for evening performance)
Cost: $175
Final Performance: Friday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Session 2 | June 20-24, 2022
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Early pickup at 3 p.m. on Friday to prepare for evening performance)
Cost: $175
Final Performance: Friday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m.

$25 scholarships may be available for those that need assistance. Please contact us for more information. Camp fees include a camp t-shirt, script, one complimentary ticket to the performance, and a rehearsal music. Additional performance tickets will be available for $10 each. 

The San Jacinto College Central Department of Theatre and Film has a long history of working with area students. Our faculty has experience teaching at colleges and universities throughout the area.
