Learn the mechanics behind aerospace structures, their fundamental systems, and installation. San Jacinto College EDGE Center Houston Spaceport at Ellington Airport offers hands-on aerospace training on-site so you can keep pace with space.

The Aerospace Structures Technician training program prepares individuals for entry-level technician positions within aviation, aerospace, and other industries.  This course focuses on basic aircraft structure technology including sheet metal assembly, maintenance, and repair.  Students will learn hands-on skills such as drilling, riveting, deburring, countersinking, fastener usage, hand tools usage, and manufacturing safety protocols.

Training is offered face-to-face, hybrid/blended or fully online and may be customized to meet student and client needs. Grant funding may be available to eligible students & businesses.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this program, students can apply for a national certification with CertTEC.
